I’m Jacquie, founder of Cactus Jacq and a licensed skin care therapist, herbalist, brow specialist, and sugarista. I specialize in sugar hair removal, holistic skin care, brow restoration, and wellness.
My path into this work has been anything but one-dimensional. Over the years, I’ve trained and worked throughout the wellness field in health food stores, spas, a local spiritual shop, and even in the management of a nature park and community garden. Cactus Jacq grew from bringing all of those experiences together into a thoughtful, holistic approach to skin care and wellness.
I’ve created my treatment room to feel like a space where you can slow down, feel cared for, and reconnect with yourself. Every service is approached individually, using a variety of techniques based on what your skin, body, and overall well-being need in that moment. I believe effective skin care looks at the whole picture. What we apply topically matters, but it’s only one part of the story.
The four pillars of health are an important foundation in my approach to lasting inner and outer beauty. The products I use are chosen with intention, with an emphasis on organic, purposeful ingredients that are gentle on the integumentary system. Combined with my understanding of wellness, this allows me to create experiences that feel personal, restorative, and truly customized.
My education never stops. I’m endlessly fascinated by anatomy, herbalism, spirituality, gardening, facial anatomy, massage, and the many ways our bodies and the natural world are connected. When I’m not studying or refining my craft, you can usually find me walking in the woods, tending to plants, stopping to smell the flowers, or simply paying attention to the little things.
My goal is to continue learning so I can serve my community in a thoughtful, meaningful way—and create a space where every person who walks through my door feels genuinely cared for.
